Business as Usual? Experiences of Pension Funds and Law Firms Adapting to COVID Disruptions

Business operations have had to drastically change in the past year. This not only involved how companies had to operate and communicate internally, but externally as well. In some instances, laws were enacted or suspended; new technology had to be purchased, learned, and taught; meetings became virtual; and supervision of staff became a challenge. This panel will discuss the difficulties and successes that pension plans and private practice firms have had to face during the pandemic, including discussing common technological and management issues, access issues (to the courts, to the legislature, to the pension plan itself), the human element, and how the challenge was met.
